Harbin Airport is set to put China-made passenger jet C919 into service; China Super Holdings and Tianbao Infrastructure both hit the daily limit up.
On March 26, the large-aircraft sector opened higher, with Sintra Holdings (002471.SZ), Tianbao Construction (000965.SZ), Zai Sheng Technology (603601.SH) and SaiXiang Technology (002337.SZ), Sichuan Chuang Electronics (600990.SH), Parker New Materials (605123.SH), Aerospace HuanYu (688523.SH), and West Test (301306.SZ) also moving up in tandem.
On the news front, starting March 29 this year, airports will officially enter the 2026 summer flight season. At that time, China’s homegrown large aircraft, the C919, will make a major debut, operating on the Beijing Capital–Harbin Tianping route flown by Air China, with two daily round-trip flights. It is understood that the Air China C919 aircraft type deployed for operations at Harbin Airport adopts a two-cabin layout of 8 business cabins plus 148 economy cabins, for a total of 156 seats. The cabin design fully balances comfort and convenience, and can meet the travel needs of different passengers.
Orient Securities said that the newly added “aviation” wording in the 2026 Work Report upgrades the sector’s positioning to “emerging pillar industry,” reflecting the government’s greater-than-expected emphasis on the aviation industry and its importance. Compared with 2025, this year’s government work report newly mentioned aviation, and the wording has changed from “emerging industry” to “emerging pillar industry.” The former focuses more on encouraging innovation and cultivating market entities, and is in an incubation phase of “from 0 to 1.” Meanwhile, the phrase “pillar” suggests that the aviation industry has, at least initially, the ability to support the overall national economic picture, and it is no longer merely a “bonus” new track. Instead, it is expected to become a cornerstone for national security and economic development. This signals that the policy direction has shifted from “supporting development” to “powerful driving” and “scale expansion.” We believe the degree of emphasis the country places on the large-aircraft industry and the industry’s importance are beyond expectations.
