White House press secretary Leavitt said, “At this time, the possibility of holding face-to-face talks is being discussed, but before the president or the White House makes any official announcement, nothing has been decided yet.” Officials said the talks are likely to be held in Islamabad, with Pakistan’s Deputy Minister serving as a mediator to attend. They added that, given the two-week ceasefire agreement announced tonight by the United States and Iran, the likelihood of the talks is increasing. According to officials, Trump’s special envoy Witkoef, his son-in-law Kushner, and Vice President Vance are expected to attend.
