Yesterday, CME silver, gold, and copper trading volume and open interest both fell, and the market is leaning toward a wait-and-see stance. Gold futures trading volume was 181381 contracts, down 125319 contracts from the prior trading day. Open interest was 367948 contracts, down 352 contracts from the prior trading day. Silver futures trading volume was 39048 contracts, down 13325 contracts from the prior trading day. Open interest was 113762 contracts, down 49 contracts from the prior trading day. Copper futures trading volume was 52081 contracts, down 1826 contracts from the prior trading day. Open interest was 221599 contracts, down 321 contracts from the prior trading day.
