Sulin elected as President of Vietnam

People’s Finance News, April 7: On April 7, local time, at the 16th National Assembly session in Vietnam, Luong Dinh Su Lin was elected President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Born in July 1957 in Hung Yen Province in northern Vietnam, Luong Dinh Su Lin has served for a long time in the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam. From April 2016 to May 2024, Luong Dinh Su Lin served as Minister of Public Security. In May 2024, he was elected President. In August 2024, he was elected General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam; in October 2024, he no longer held the position of President. (CCTV News)
