Just been thinking about which AI stock to buy right now, and honestly there's one that keeps standing out to me - especially if you're looking at the broader AI narrative that's been playing out.
Most people know Meta for Facebook and Instagram, right? But what they're missing is what the company's actually doing on the AI front. We're talking about 3.5 billion people using their apps daily. That's an insane distribution network, and now Meta's essentially weaponizing it with AI.
Last year they basically rebuilt their entire AI program from the ground up. Zuckerberg said on the earnings call they're shipping new models and products starting this year. So we could be looking at a real inflection point for which AI stock to buy if you want exposure to a company that's already printing money but also building something potentially massive on the AI side.
Here's what gets me though - the valuation. Trading at 23x forward earnings for a company that's already a cash machine and potentially becoming an AI powerhouse? That's genuinely cheap compared to what else is out there in the AI space. Most of the hot AI plays are trading at astronomical multiples.
The AI opportunity is supposed to hit trillions in the next few years. Every major company is racing to capture a piece of it. But if you're trying to figure out which AI stock to buy without overpaying, Meta's actually sitting at a reasonable price point for what you're getting.
Their plan is straightforward - improve the ads targeting with AI, get people spending more time on the platform, push advertisers to spend more. And beyond that, the research could unlock entirely new revenue streams down the road.
I get that this isn't some flashy AI startup story. It's a boring social media company that most people already know. But that's kind of the point. You're not betting on hype here - you're betting on an established business with massive scale that's now pivoting hard into AI.
So yeah, if you're asking which AI stock to buy and you want something with actual earnings, real users, and a clear path to AI monetization without the crazy valuation, this one's worth looking at. Not saying it's a guaranteed winner, but the setup is interesting.
