Kuwait announces interception of multiple incoming missiles

Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense announced on the 28th that its forces intercepted multiple missiles aimed at military bases housing U.S. and other foreign personnel. A spokesperson for Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense, Saoud Abdulaziz Atwan, said that on that day the Ali Salim Air Force Base was attacked by multiple ballistic missiles. Also, citing a report by Ansa news agency, Al Arabiya TV reported that Italy’s foreign minister, Antonio Tajani, said that on Saturday Iran launched missile attacks on the runway of Kuwait’s Air Force base housing Italian Air Force personnel, causing “serious damage.” Tajani told reporters: “The runway was severely damaged, but no Italian personnel were injured.” (Global Times)
