On the 6th local time, a U.S. official said that Iran’s response to the proposal from the United States to end the war was “too demanding,” and it is not yet clear whether this is helpful in advancing a diplomatic solution to the conflict.

Earlier that day, a CCTV reporter learned from the Iranian side that Iran has responded to Pakistan regarding the U.S. proposal to end the war.

It is understood that Iran’s demands cover ten provisions. The core points include: emphasizing that the war must be permanently ended in accordance with Iran’s concerns; and putting forward a series of requests, such as ending regional conflicts, establishing a security and safe passage agreement for the Strait of Hormuz, post-war reconstruction, and lifting sanctions.

Earlier, some sources said that Pakistan had drawn up a framework proposal for ending the conflict and held “overnight” communications with the U.S. and Iran. The plan is to first achieve an immediate ceasefire and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and then reach a final agreement within 15 to 20 days. The final agreement may include an undertaking by Iran not to seek nuclear weapons, in exchange for sanctions relief and the release of frozen assets. The information reported on the U.S. side indicates that the United States, Iran, and the mediators are discussing a possible 45-day ceasefire agreement to create conditions for subsequent negotiations and ultimately end the war.

Earlier on the 6th, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Baghae said that Iran will put forward its own position in accordance with the country’s interests, security, and the legitimate demands of the Iranian people. Iran has prepared responses to issues such as the proposed plan to end the war that was conveyed by the mediators, and will announce them to the public in a timely manner. However, he did not disclose specific details of the ceasefire agreement plan.
