This year I started looking at testnets a bit differently.
Not just rushing through tasks anymore… actually paying attention to what’s being built.
@quipnetwork was one of the few that made me slow down.
They’re not trying to win the “faster chain” race.
They’re focused on something else entirely.
Quantum risk.
Most of the current wallets and infrastructure still depend on encryption that won’t hold forever. That’s just the reality.
What Quip is doing is adding a layer on top, so existing wallets can become resistant without forcing a full reset.
No need to move everything.
Just upgrade the security.
But it goes deeper than that.
They’re building a hybrid compute network, quantum plus classical.
A system where people can contribute hardware and earn from it.
And a setup designed to handle problems traditional systems can’t.
That shift is what kept me active.
Not just daily check-ins… but actually trying to understand how it all fits together.
