BYD EV subsidies did not increase

In the negotiations on tariffs between Japan and the US, Japan agreed to make it easier for American cars to obtain subsidies for pure electric vehicles (EV). Subsequently, starting in January, the Japanese government modified EV subsidies, increasing the cap by 400k yen.

The increase in subsidies will be determined based on the previous amounts. Toyota and US Tesla, among others, increased by 400k yen to reach the cap, and can receive subsidies of more than 1 million yen. BYD’s subsidy is only 350k yen, so it did not increase.
