Israeli Defense Minister: IDF can assassinate "designated target" Iranian officials without prior approval

Israeli Defense Minister Katz said on March 18 that Iran’s intelligence minister, Ismail Hatib, had been killed in an Israel Defense Forces attack. Katz also claimed that he and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had authorized the military to “assassinate any other senior Iranian officials designated as targets without seeking further approval.” Iran’s official channels have, for the time being, made no response to the related report. Earlier, according to Israeli media, the Israel Defense Forces carried out an attack against Hatib on the evening of March 17 local time. (CCTV International News)
