Mainland media cited a report from a source saying that Apple’s first foldable iPhone is already in trial production.

Industry chain insiders said that Foxconn has started trial production of Apple’s foldable iPhone handset.

Supply chain company sources said last year that Apple’s shipment target guidance provided to suppliers was to launch its first foldable phone in the second half of 2026—a foldable-screen iPhone.

Bloomberg reported last month that the foldable iPhone Apple is about to launch will include an update to the iOS operating system, for the first time supporting an iPad-like interface layout with applications displayed side by side, thereby enhancing its appeal for multitasking.
