According to TRM Labs, the Indonesian government has convicted three individuals of financing terrorism through cryptocurrency. Law enforcement traced on-chain transactions linking the relevant wallet addresses to ISIS networks, with one defendant transferring over 49k USDT to overseas exchanges through 15 transactions. Although the individuals did not directly carry out attacks, they were identified as part of the "funding logistics layer" of terrorist financing. TRM stated that this could be one of the first anti-terrorism financing cases in Southeast Asia to be prosecuted primarily based on blockchain evidence.
