Trump says April 7, Eastern Time, is the final deadline on Iran issues, vows to take Iran’s oil to make money

In an interview with the media, Trump reiterated his position on Iran’s nuclear issue, stressing that April 7, Eastern Time is the final deadline, saying that Iran cannot possess nuclear weapons, and insisting that regime change has been achieved.

He also mentioned that if he had a choice, he would take Iran’s oil, and responded to questions about Iran’s military capabilities.

Gate News reported that on April 6, according to CCTV International News, U.S. President Trump spoke to the media at an event at the White House about Iran.

Trump said that Tuesday (April 7), Eastern Time, is the final deadline, “cannot be changed.” Trump again emphasized that “Iran cannot have nuclear weapons,” saying that in his first term he tore up the Iran nuclear deal, assassinated Soleimani, the commander of the “Quds Force” subordinate “Quds (Jerusalem) Brigade,” and “thereby prevented Israel from being erased from the map.”

Trump also insisted that “regime change” in Iran has been achieved, saying that the Iran leadership now negotiating with the U.S. is “more reasonable,” but added that “they (Iran) simply refuse to admit defeat, but they will eventually buckle—if they don’t buckle, they will have nothing.

“Trump also said that if he were given a choice, he would ‘take (Iran’s) oil,’ because ‘oil is within reach; they (Iran) are unable to do anything about it for themselves. I will make a lot of money.’” When asked by a reporter, “Since the U.S. has repeatedly claimed that Iran’s military capabilities have been destroyed, why is the fighting still ongoing?” Trump responded, “They (Iran) still have some missiles, and they still have some drones. They’re lucky—they managed to shoot down an (U.S.) aircraft.”
