According to the UK Maritime Trade Operations, a product tanker attacked by a drone near Qatar on Wednesday is owned by the United Arab Emirates. The vessel was anchored in the northern waters of Ras Laffan Port, Qatar at the time of the attack.The Aqua 1 sustained damage above the waterline, and the fire onboard has been brought under control. All 23 Filipino crew members are safe. The broker stated that the ship is leased by Qatar Energy and was not carrying cargo at the time of the attack. As of now, at least 22 ships have been attacked by Iran during this conflict.
