Just now, good news! The ceasefire agreement is here, and the price suddenly surged.
【Intro】A ceasefire update comes in; the stock market rallies, and crude oil plunges
China Fund News reporter Tyler
Brothers, sisters, and fellow classmates—right before the A-share market opens, we finally got a little piece of good news!
In the afternoon of April 6, the crude oil market suddenly plunged.
The three major U.S. stock indexes rose before the close.
On the news front, the Middle East war ceasefire has seen new developments.
The United States and Iran have already received a framework for a plan to end hostilities. Just the day before, Trump warned that if Iran failed to reach an agreement, it would face a “hellish blow.” However, Iran said it would not reopen the Strait of Hormuz as part of the temporary ceasefire arrangements.
A source said on Monday that the peace plan would follow a “two-stage” path: first achieve an immediate ceasefire, then finalize a comprehensive agreement within 15 to 20 days. Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Army General Asim Munir was in communication throughout the night with U.S. Vice President Vance, envoy Steve Witkoff, and Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.
A senior Iranian official said publicly that Iran would not reopen the Strait of Hormuz during the temporary ceasefire, and emphasized that it would not accept any “final deadline” while reviewing the proposal. The official also said the United States is not yet prepared to achieve a permanent ceasefire.
Separately, media reported on Wednesday that the United States, Iran, and regional mediators are discussing a ceasefire agreement that could last 45 days, as part of the two-stage agreement, and may ultimately push for the war to permanently end.
