People’s Finance News, April 3—Today (April 3), the mandatory national standard GB 47372-2026 “Safety Technical Specification for Mobile Power Supplies,” formulated and issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, was officially released. Based on the requirements of the two existing general mandatory national standards, the Technical Specification clarifies a number of key requirements.

The Technical Specification requires strengthening the inherent safety of batteries. It introduces a needle penetration test into the standard and clearly improves the safety protection capability of mobile power supplies in scenarios such as high temperatures, overcharging, and crushing. To reduce the risk of internal short circuits after long-term use of mobile power supplies, it adds professional testing related to cycle aging. It also requires indicating the recommended safe service life, reminding consumers to replace mobile power supplies with poor safety in a timely manner.
