Zhang Xue's motorcycle battle becomes legendary! Motorcycle sector shows unusual activity, Hongchang Technology hits 20cm2 limit-up for two consecutive days
Ask AI · How can Chinese motorcycle makers reshape the European market landscape with value-for-money?
On March 31, all three major A-share indices fell across the board. The Shanghai Composite Index dropped 0.8% to 3,891.86 points, again falling below the 3,900-point mark. In terms of sectors, the motorcycle concept sector saw a late-afternoon surge. Hongchang Technology delivered two straight limit-up moves with a 20cm daily increase. Huayang Racing rose more than 18% to lead the pack, while Qianjiang Motorcycle and Zhenghe Industry both hit the daily limit.
On the news front, according to a report by Xinhua News Agency on March 30, at the World Superbike World Championship (WSBK) Portuguese round—specifically in the WorldSSP category—concluded on the 29th, Chinese motorcycle manufacturer “Zhangxue Motorcycle” won the two-race main events at the venue. The team was established only recently. For this, it was merely the second round it participated in, yet it achieved two championships, also marking a historic breakthrough for Chinese motorcycle manufacturers in WSBK events.
As for China’s motorcycle industry, Huatai Securities pointed out that the evolution of demand structure in the European motorcycle market, along with the strategy of overseas second-tier brands to maintain their “existing products,” is creating an opportunity for Chinese brands to break through strongly. With China’s leading motorcycle companies represented by Loncin and CFmoto completing value-added accumulation in technological reserves and channel building, exporting to Europe has moved beyond the stage of competing purely on price. It has entered a new cycle of reshaping the market landscape with “value-for-money.”
