Galaxy Securities: Civil aviation travel volume continues to grow in March; the feature of staying strong in the off-season is expected to carry over to the April policy incremental milestone.

Galaxy Securities research notes state that, according to TripAdvisor for Flights, in March domestic civil aviation passenger traffic increased year over year by +12%. Of that, passenger volume on business routes increased year over year by +8.3%, and overall air travel demand growth is expected to be primarily driven by leisure travel. Considering that pilot provinces start implementing the spring holiday in April, it is expected that overall travel data will continue to maintain strong and rapid growth. Referencing data from Trip.com’s aviation vertical and Civil Aviation Manager, as of April 1–6, domestic route bookings increased year over year by +9%, and during the May Day holiday domestic route bookings increased year over year by +13%. In terms of pricing, during the Qingming holiday, the base ticket price increased year over year by +16%.
