According to IRIB, the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, a report from 30, the Permanent Representative of Iran to the United Nations, Iraavani, has sent a letter to the UN Secretary-General and the Security Council, stating that Ukraine’s acknowledgment of sending “hundreds of experts” to the Middle East to counter Iran amounts to providing material and operational support for the military aggression against Iran led by the United States and Israel. In his letter, Iraavani said that Ukraine’s unlawful intervention is not accidental; it is active participation in, and assistance to, another country’s illegal use of force against a sovereign state, constituting participation in an act of aggression and violating the basic principle of the UN Charter that prohibits the use of force. He noted that, under international law, Ukraine must bear the corresponding international responsibility. (Xinhua)
