I just realized that many people still confuse what it means when you see numbers like 1K or 100K on social media, especially in the cryptocurrency world. So I decided to clarify this because it's information you need if you work online.
Let's start with the basics. The "K" comes from "Kilo" and simply means thousand. So 1K is 1k, 10K is 10k, and when you see 100K, we're talking about 100k. Pretty simple, right? But many people still get confused by this.
Then there's the Million, which is much larger. 1 Million equals 1k,000. If someone mentions 5 Million, that's 5M. And 10 Million is 10M. You see this term constantly on YouTube when they talk about views or followers, and obviously in cryptocurrencies when we discuss market capitalizations.
Now, if you want to understand really large numbers, we have the Billion. That's 1M,000, a number that sounds almost unreal but is quite common in the world of finance and larger crypto projects. 10 Billion would be 10B.
The mental table is simple: K is thousand, M is million, B is billion. If you work on YouTube, do freelance work, or are involved in cryptocurrencies, these terms will appear constantly in your life. Honestly, understanding this well will save you from confusion and misinterpretation. It's not complicated, but it's super important.
