Education-oriented, forging the soul and establishing the mind. Guanghua will remain true to the original aspiration of fostering virtue and nurturing talent, cultivate spiritual roots and bonds through a sense of home-country spirit, broaden the horizons of understanding with a global perspective, and integrate humanistic grounding, academic character, innovative wisdom, and technological ethics. She will cultivate leaders who deeply understand management and guide business civilization, with both humanistic care and forward-looking vision.

Scholarly inquiry as the foundation, expanding the boundaries and seeking truth. Guanghua will make expanding the boundaries of knowledge the basis for standing firm, integrate intelligent technologies with the academic frontiers of business and management studies, and root itself in China’s practical efforts to pursue original insights. By gathering global talent and nurturing together in a balanced manner, it will forge a top-tier faculty team, strengthening the school’s development foundation through depth of thought and novelty of knowledge.

Serving the world with responsibility, applying what is learned for the long term. Guanghua will closely align with the nation’s major strategic needs, providing theoretical support for policy formulation through rigorous scholarship, responding to the demands of the times—such as the digital economy and intelligent governance—with business-school wisdom, and empowering the modernization of national governance and high-quality social development.

The future is already here. In the journey of Peking University aiming to sprint toward the front ranks of world-class universities as a whole, the Guanghua School of Management will carry forward the strengths of Yan Yuan, build upon more than 40 years of past glory, and anchor its goal of becoming a world-class business school with Chinese characteristics. With upholding the right path and innovating, and pursuing excellence, it will educate people through ideas and take responsibility through hands-on execution, writing a brand-new chapter for the development of China’s business studies and national rejuvenation.
