(MENAFN) Israeli airstrikes on Thursday targeted multiple locations in southern Lebanon, killing seven people and injuring three others as the military campaign enters its second month, according to reports.

The Lebanese Health Ministry reported that four fatalities and three injuries occurred in a strike on Ramadiyeh. In a separate attack, a two-story building in Kfarsir was hit, resulting in three deaths, according to a state-run news agency.

Israeli aircraft also carried out strikes on the towns of Yater, Harouf, and Zebdine, destroying several homes, while artillery shelling targeted areas including Siddiqine, Jabal al-Batam, and Zebqine, as well as the outskirts of Shaqra, Wadi al-Slouqi, Mansouri, Majdal Zoun, Wadi al-Hamra, and Hamoul, and near Qalaat Dabiya. No casualties were reported in these areas.

The agency noted that Israeli reconnaissance planes were flying intensively over the Tyre region.

In northern Lebanon, an explosion was heard near Batroun, though its cause remains unclear.

Additionally, smoke was observed rising from forested areas between Asia and Nahla, with further details not yet available.
