Iranian Military Claims Drone Strikes on Israeli and US Military Targets in Kuwait

On April 5, local time, the Iranian Islamic Republic Army issued Announcement No. 56. The announcement revealed that following the successful interception of enemy aircraft by its air defense systems, the Iranian military took decisive military action in the early hours of the same day to respond to the ‘crimes’ of the US and Israel. According to the statement, the Iranian military deployed a swarm of drones to accurately strike Israeli ‘petrochemical industrial facilities and oil product storage depots’ located near Dimona. It is reported that the underground emergency fuel reserves in this area hold significant strategic importance for Israel’s southern energy supply. Meanwhile, Iranian drones also targeted equipment warehouses, satellite communication units, and the US military command headquarters at the Bubiyan Island military base in Kuwait. The announcement noted that this base serves as a core node for the US Central Command in the region, recently undertaking a large volume of communication surveillance and combat management tasks, and is equipped with offensive weapons such as the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system.
