The numbers are catastrophic for Trump, and I’m not exaggerating at all.
Let’s start with the most important thing. Do you know what the core of Trump’s base is? White voters without college degrees.
That’s his base; that’s where he’s always been strongest. Well, for the first time in the 10 years Trump has been in politics, he’s losing ground with this group.
Polls and market studies confirm this, not me.
CNN has him at -2, Fox News (the MAGA home channel) also at -2, NPR at -3. A year ago, he was at +26 with the same group. That’s a swing of 28 points within his own electoral base.
Among independents, Trump has the worst approval rating in modern American presidential history at this point in his second term. Minus 45 points. This is actually a sign that the election battle is underway.
Worse than Nixon, who was on the verge of resigning in 1974, worse than George W. Bush, who was devastated by the Iraq War. Trump is nearly 10 points below Nixon among independents. And we’re just months away from the midterms.
The economy is just as disastrous. 72% of Americans disapprove of how he’s handling inflation, worse than Biden’s 68% and Jimmy Carter’s 66% at the same point in their terms.
Regarding gas prices, 76% disapprove, surpassing Biden’s worst score of 72%. Overall, 69% disapprove of the economy, over 10 points worse than George W. Bush or Obama at the same point in their second terms. The worst figures in modern history for each economic metric.
And now for the interesting part. Polls show that 100% of MAGA Republicans support Trump. But the real question isn’t how much the MAGA supporters support him, but how many Republicans are still MAGA.
MAGA is shrinking as a group every day, and those who remain are, by definition, the ones who support him unconditionally. That’s why polls show 100% support, but the group is getting smaller and smaller.
Trump lives in a total informational bubble.
He doesn’t read, he only watches Fox News and Truth Social, and his staff only tells him what he wants to hear to keep their jobs. No one will tell him the truth. They show him video compilations with bombs and tell him the war is going great. They only show him polls with MAGA Republicans and let him believe he has 100% national support. The man is completely disconnected from reality.
And to prove how “genius” his political instincts are, he just came out and said the federal government can’t afford to pay for daycares, even though he promised free daycares during the campaign, and that it can’t afford Medicare and Medicaid, and that all the money should go to the war.
In a midterms year 😂
It’s going to be an interesting year.
