Gongbei Port experiences a peak in inbound and outbound passenger flow during the Qingming holiday, with an average of over 370k travelers per day.

People’s Finance News, April 5. As the core hub of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area’s connectivity and a key gateway linking the Mainland and Macao, during the Qingming Festival holiday, passenger volumes combining travelers returning home to pay respects to ancestors, visiting friends and relatives, and going on spring outings around the Gongbei Port have converged, presenting a peak in two-way cross-border passenger traffic. According to statistics from the Gongbei Border Inspection Station, the data show that on April 4, the first day of the holiday, the number of immigration and exit-entry personnel traveling between Zhuhai and Macao via the Gongbei Port exceeded 340k person-times. In addition, the station expects that over the three days of the Qingming Festival holiday, daily passenger flow between the two places via the Gongbei Port will exceed 370k person-times on average, up 10% year over year.
