Charity event「When Will the First Little Eagle Hatch」is Live 🐣

On Polymarket, a prediction market, there is currently a prediction event about “When will the first Bald Eagle chick hatch.” The event includes multiple date options from April 3 to April 16, and features a 24-hour live monitoring livestream embedded directly on the page showing a wild bald eagle nest in Traverse City, Michigan.
According to the settlement rules, “hatching” is defined as the first moment when the chick completely breaks free from the eggshell; if there are only cracks or only part of the body is visible, the event will not be settled. If the livestream is interrupted due to technical issues and the chick completes hatching during the interruption, the event will be settled on the day when the live footage resumes and confirms that the chick has hatched.
As of April 3, there are currently 3 incubating eagle eggs in the nest. This event monitors which of these 3 eggs will produce the first little eagle to fully hatch on which day. Based on recent livestream monitoring updates, the oldest egg showed the first signs of hatching on the evening of April 4 (a small hole appeared in the eggshell), and by the morning of April 5 it had formed partial cracks. The second egg also showed signs of hatching earlier on April 5.
Bald eagles were established as the national bird of the United States starting in 1782, as the highest symbol of the nation’s spirit, strength, and freedom, and their image is widely reproduced on the Great Seal of the United States, presidential flags, and circulating currency. Although bald eagles successfully exited the endangered species list in 2007 after decades of rescue efforts, they are still subject to extremely strict protection under the U.S. Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act.
Polymarket’s official statement says that all proceeds from this event will ultimately be donated in full to the American Bald Eagle Foundation.
