I just reviewed some fascinating data about how many millionaires there are in the world, and the numbers are mind-blowing.

We’re talking about approximately 60 million millionaires worldwide. It sounds like a lot, but when you put it in perspective with the global population, it’s just a tiny percentage. Then there are the billionaires—those with fortunes exceeding one billion dollars: only 3,148 people.

But here’s where it gets interesting. Only 19 people on the entire planet have fortunes exceeding $100 billion. And when it comes to ultra-mega-rich individuals, just 6 people control more than $200 billion. It’s almost unreal.

The most extreme case is that there’s only one person whose wealth surpasses $800 billion. Elon Musk, with a net worth of around $849 billion, is practically in a league of his own.

Looking at these numbers, one can’t help but reflect: how many millionaires in the world are actually building something meaningful versus just accumulating? And more importantly, which category do you fall into? Are you actively building your wealth or just watching others do it? The gap is becoming more evident, and time keeps passing.
