China Association of Automobile Manufacturers: 1–2 months car exports reach 1.55 million units, a year-on-year increase of 61%

People’s Financial News, April 3: China Passenger Car Association (CPCA): From January to February 2026, China’s vehicle exports reached 1.55 million units, up 61% year over year compared with the same period in 2025. In February 2026, China’s vehicle exports totaled 750k units, up 79% year over year, down 7% month over month; overall, both the year-over-year and month-over-month trends were fairly strong. In February 2026, China’s new-energy vehicle exports were 320k units, up 120% year over year. The cumulative exports for January and February were 670k units, showing growth of 88%, which is a great performance. New-energy vehicle exports performed very strongly.
