On April 2, the special work team handling the “Tianhu Hospital” issue in Leping City, Jiangxi Province, released a situation briefing: On March 31, 2026, Leping Tianhu Hospital issued a notice terminating all employees, which drew online public attention. The hospital was established in 2015. It is a private general hospital rated as Class II, Grade A. It currently has 315 staff members. Starting in March 2025, its workload has continued to decline, putting it in operating difficulties and leading to instances of unpaid employee wages. It later came under suspicion of violating the regulations on supervision of the medical insurance fund, and relevant personnel have been accepting an investigation. The CPC Leping Municipal Committee and the municipal government attach great importance to this matter. In November 2025, they set up a special work team led by the Leping Municipal Health Commission, with the Leping Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and the Leping Municipal Medical Insurance Bureau jointly participating, to coordinate the resolution of employees’ wage issues and properly arrange for existing patients, among other matters. At present, the special work team is carrying out related work in accordance with laws and regulations, effectively safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of the public.
