The Cyberspace Administration of China publicly solicits opinions on the "Simplified Measures for Personal Information Protection for Small-scale Personal Information Processors (Draft for Comments)"
People’s Finance and News, April 3—The Cyberspace Administration of China has opened a public consultation on the draft regulations titled “Simplified Measures for the Personal Information Protection of Small-Scale Personal Information Processors (Draft for Comments).” The draft regulations propose that, for small-scale personal information processors that collect personal information offline, they may disclose the rules for personal information processing by simple means such as posting notices in a clearly visible location at their business premises; for those that collect personal information online, they may disclose the rules for personal information processing through methods such as service agreements. It also supports service management entities such as parks, industrial bases, and commercial property management units in uniformly developing and publishing personal information processing rules for small-scale personal information processors conducting the same offline business within their service management scope. Small-scale personal information processors that agree to comply with the unified personal information processing rules and are listed in those rules may no longer need to formulate their own personal information processing rules.
