As tensions between the US and Iran rise, Donald Trump draws attention with his harsh statements.
In his latest remarks, Trump repeats his ultimatum to Iran, saying, "I give Iran 10 days to make a deal or open the Strait of Hormuz. Time is running; if there is no result within 48 hours, all hell will break loose."
On the other hand, former National Security Advisor John Bolton sharply criticized the Trump administration after Iran shot down a US warplane. Bolton suggested that Trump may be in a "panic mode" after Iran shot down an F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jet and targeted an A-10 Warthog aircraft. In an interview with CNN, Bolton said that the lack of direct statements from the White House "undermines the credibility of the US administration."

It was reported that the pilots of the aircraft that were shot down during the clash managed to eject and survived, and that US forces successfully rescued one pilot, while the search efforts for the other pilot are still ongoing. In addition, a US UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter was also targeted by Iranian fire; however, those aircraft managed to escape the area.
Bolton stated that Iran's capture of a pilot would not change the course of the war, but it would become "a propaganda victory for Iran." He also believes that the Trump administration acted without adequately considering the consequences of the military operation.
As the conflict enters its fifth week, Trump had previously claimed that US strikes against Iran had greatly weakened the country's air defense system as well as its navy and missiles. Stating that a military operation codenamed "Operation Epic Fury" was "almost complete," Trump signaled that pressure on Iran would continue to increase.
