The U.S. military attacked an Iranian warship in the Indian Ocean. Iran has requested Sri Lanka to hand over the remains of the personnel.

A Central Radio and Television (CCTV) reporter learned on the 5th that Iran has notified Sri Lanka, hoping to transport the remains of the fallen officers and crew from the incident in which the Iranian warship “Iris Dinah” was sunk back to Iran. The deputy minister of health of Sri Lanka, Hansaka Vijemuniy, confirmed that the Iranian government has officially notified Sri Lanka, hoping to send the remains back to Iran, and that the relevant arrangements for transporting the remains are currently being coordinated. Vijemuniy said that until the relevant matters are completed, the remains will be temporarily kept in the hospitals’ refrigerated facilities. (CCTV News)
