The director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission for Promotion of Investment (Shanghai Municipal Economic and Information Technology Commission), Tang Wenkan, said at a Shanghai news conference on February 28 that the 2026 Shanghai Global Investment Promotion Conference and the “Invest Shanghai” activity week will open on March 14. The conference will be themed “Spring Welcomes Shencheng, Leading the Future.” The main venue will be located at the Shanghai East Hub International Business Cooperation Zone. During the conference, a series of “1+2+N+X” events will be held, including one high-standard keynote promotional meeting, two government-enterprise roundtable meetings, N matchmaking and negotiation events, and X thematic investment promotion events. The conference will invite nearly 500 well-known domestic and international companies to participate, including industry leading enterprises such as Dell, AstraZeneca, GE, Sanofi, and Haier, as well as well-known investment institutions such as Bofeng Asset Management, KKR, and Qiming Venture Partners, along with new and cutting-edge innovation forces such as MiniMax, Deepx, and Horizon.
