People’s Finance News, April 1—During a visit to Morocco from March 30 to 31 local time, Wu Lei, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shanghai Electric Group, led a delegation. He held meetings with Morocco’s Minister of Equipment and Water Resources, Nizar Baraka, and Morocco’s Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, Leila Benali, respectively, and reached multiple consensuses on further deepening cooperation between enterprises in China and Morocco and relevant government departments, as well as pragmatically advancing the implementation of cooperation projects. During the visit to Morocco, Shanghai Electric also held talks with senior officials of Morocco Phosphate Salt Group and Shanghai Fanghao Industrial Group Co., Ltd. All parties agreed that they will work together in areas including green hydrogen production, clean energy, and seawater desalination to provide stronger support for Morocco’s decarbonization strategy, and achieve mutual benefit and a win-win outcome in upgrading and optimizing Morocco’s industrial energy structure.
