People always bring up the same argument about Elon—that he just had rich parents and got handed everything. But here's the thing: was Elon Musk born rich? Yeah, technically his family had money. But that's not the full story.

I've seen plenty of wealthy kids blow through their inheritance without building anything meaningful. They just spend and spend. Elon? Different breed entirely. He actually founded companies. Tesla didn't exist because of his family money—it exists because he had a vision about electric vehicles when nobody else did. Same with SpaceX. He literally tried to make rockets reusable when the entire industry said it was impossible.

Money is useful, sure. It gives you runway to take risks that poor people can't afford to take. But money alone has never built an empire. What actually matters is the combination: clear vision, willingness to risk everything, and the kind of relentless work ethic that most people can't sustain.

Innovation is expensive. Building something world-changing requires resources. So being born into wealth? It's definitely an advantage. But it's not the deciding factor. Plenty of rich people never create anything lasting. What separates Elon from them is what he did with his mind and his time. He took that head start and turned it into something that actually changed how we think about energy and space.

So yeah, he had some advantages growing up. But did he actually build something legendary? Absolutely. That part wasn't handed to him.
