“After BYD released its flash-charging technology, many peers have also begun heavily promoting their own charging speeds, but our original intent is not to start a parameter competition in the industry. Instead, it is to truly change everyone’s view of new-energy vehicles from the ground-up logic.” Zhang Zhuo, general manager of the Sales Business Unit of BYD Ocean Network, said.

On April 2, BYD Ocean Network simultaneously launched the 2026 Haibei 06GT and the 2026 Haibei 06DM-i Wagon. The former’s price range is 128.9k–169.9k yuan, while the latter’s price range is 111.9k–139.9k yuan. Among them, 2026 Haibei 06GT users can enjoy a 1-year free flash-charging energy top-up benefit.

As an annual facelift model, the dual-car lineup of the 2026 Haibei 06 family precisely enters the personalized sub-segment market in the 100k–170k yuan price range, through core technologies such as the second-generation Blade Battery, flash-charging technology, and Tian Shen Yan 5.0 intelligent driving assistance, demonstrating BYD’s determination to step up investment in personalized new-energy demand.

Zhang Zhuo said: “Once, a two-door sporty hatchback was a toy for a few people, and a wagon was an out-of-reach luxury. But today, we will completely put an end to the high barriers of personalized driving. The 2026 Haibei 06GT and the 2026 Haibei 06DM-i Wagon allow every young person to have what they love instantly, without having to wait.”

The pricing of the two new cars is highly aggressive. The Haibei 06GT targets the traditional small fuel-powered sporty hatchback market, forming a competitive product advantage with lower operating costs, faster acceleration, and richer configurations. The Haibei 06DM-i Wagon is even priced below some compact SUV models; by offering “wagon space + hybrid fuel economy + the quietness of an EV,” it poses a threat to the traditional family car market.

Positioned as “the first GT for young people,” the Haibei 06GT has attracted significant attention since its launch. This time, the 2026 Haibei 06GT delivers dual upgrades in range and charging. Through a comprehensive refresh in driving control, intelligence, looks, comfort, and safety—along with more than 120 items of full-series standard equipment—it embodies the style of a “high-performance, trendy, fun driving companion.”

The 2026 Haibei 06GT is equipped with flash-charging technology and the second-generation Blade Battery. Its maximum pure-electric range rises to 620 km, enabling fast top-ups with “5 minutes for good, 9 minutes for full, and at -30 degrees only 3 more minutes.” In terms of intelligence, it is equipped with the Tian Shen Yan B-assisted driving laser version (DiPilot-300). It upgrades to include a laser radar and supports Tian Shen Yan 5.0, covering practical functions such as urban navigation assistance, expressway navigation assistance, and all-scenario parking.

In driving control, the new car’s motor power reaches up to 240 kW, with 0–100 km/h acceleration in 6.5 seconds. The vehicle also comes with the Yun Nian-C intelligent damping body control system, and adds a road-surface preview function. Together with the newly added customizable driving modes and an anti-motion-sickness mode, it ensures every drive is smooth and comfortable. It also adds a high-speed blowout stability control system; even if a blowout occurs at speeds up to 140 km/h, it can still hold the vehicle’s stance.

For comfort and enjoyment, the new car adds an 8-way electric adjustment for the driver’s seat and a 4-way lumbar support. A new 66-liter front compartment trunk, together with a newly added electric unlocking feature for the front trunk, is practical and convenient. A 127-color ring cabin ambient light, a dual-cooling-and-heating onboard refrigerator, Dynaudio brand 12-speaker setup, a VTOL mobile power station, and more enhance the product’s quality feel. In addition, the new car adds two exterior color options—Haiqin Sea Silver and Posya Rose Red—as well as two single-tone body color options—Aegean Sea Blue and Aurora Purple. For the interior, it adds a new Midnight Purple / Warm White two-tone color scheme.

As a global high-end super-hybrid wagon, the 2026 Haibei 06DM-i Wagon is BYD’s first plug-in hybrid model with a pure-electric range of 300 km, and it achieves all-round upgrades in performance, safety, comfort, and looks—meeting the combined needs of family users who “want to chase the distance, and also want to live well in the present.”

The new car balances an ultra-long range with ultra-low energy consumption. It offers two CLTC pure-electric range versions: 200 km and 300 km. The NEDC combined consumption for charging-depleted driving is only 3.15 liters per 100 km. At the same time, the new car is equipped with a plug-in hybrid-specific power-type Blade Battery. Charging the battery from 30% to 80% takes only 20 minutes.

In addition, the vehicle adds four scene modes: a “baby mode,” a “car wash mode,” a “short nap mode,” and a “camping mode.” The W-HUD heads-up display keeps the driver focused ahead without distraction. The road-surface preview function combines safety and comfort.

In terms of safety, the 2026 Haibei 06DM-i Wagon can be optionally equipped with the Tian Shen Yan B-assisted driving laser version (DiPilot300). It upgrades to include a laser radar and supports Tian Shen Yan 5.0. It adds a driver fatigue monitoring system, along with E-CALL emergency rescue services and I-CALL 24h smart customer service, enhancing safety. In addition, the new car adds two exterior color options: Ji Xi Green and Obsidian Black, and introduces a new Midnight Blue color scheme in the cabin.

The 2026 Haibei 06GT and the 2026 Haibei 06DM-i Wagon are a concentrated reflection of BYD’s technological strength, market insight, and pricing boldness.
