Something serious is happening in Mexico. Last weekend, the military launched a large-scale operation in Jalisco, and apparently a cartel boss was killed during the process. Someone who was a leader of CJNG resisted arrest, got injured, and died.

That may have triggered a swift backlash from armed groups. They set fire to vehicles and blocked roads, attacking security forces in various places. Violence has erupted across the entire country of Mexico.

This chaos is also affecting the airports, with many flights canceled. Airlines from the US, Canada, and Mexico are all scrambling to respond. The power struggle within the cartel is truly serious, and one incident can lead to nationwide chaos. The security situation in Mexico is really severe.
