Abstract generation in progress

Sina Tech reported on April 3 in the afternoon that Halo Hitch announced the official launch of its MCP service, packaging the entire end-to-end supply-demand matching for its Hitch service, differentiated services, and transaction capabilities into standardized interfaces that can be called by AI. It will be opened to all large language models and AI agents to meet users’ travel needs directly submitted from an “AI entry point.”

For ordinary users, Halo Hitch’s MCP service will be a “seamless” upgrade on the experience level. Users can skip the ordering flow steps such as switching apps, filtering drivers, and communicating itinerary details. Based on its understanding of the needs, an AI tool can call Halo MCP services to complete the entire flow including driver matching, placing an order, and payment, and then push itinerary information.

As the first MCP service in the online travel industry, Halo Hitch’s core capabilities—including driver matching, route planning, price calculation, and differentiated services (including pet-friendly filtering, luxury car filtering such as high-end cars, and so on)—will all be opened to all AI models and products in a standardized way. It is reported that in its first phase, Halo Hitch has opened three versions of MCP service modes: the Basic version service—after users express their needs through AI, a jump link will be generated, automatically redirecting to the Halo app or mini program to complete the transaction; meanwhile, both the Pro and Pro+ versions support closing the loop within an AI product to complete the full travel experience end to end.

Developers or AI platforms do not need to write complex integration code. By simply following the MCP protocol, they can call Halo Hitch’s MCP service with one click, enabling AI agents with the ability to “call a Hitch.” “It’s like equipping AI models with a ‘travel skills pack.’” A relevant person in charge of R&D at Halo Hitch said, “In the future, we will open Halo Hitch’s capabilities to any AI assistant—whether it’s a phone voice assistant, a travel planning AI, or a personal AI agent.”

Data shows that by the end of 2025, Halo Hitch has cumulatively submitted credentials for 42 million certified drivers, and the number of users placing orders has exceeded 360 million. “We believe that ubiquitous AI assistants in the future will be a core travel entry point.” The business person in charge of Halo Hitch said, “Halo hopes to become the ‘capability foundation’ of the AI travel era, so that every travel request can be intelligently responded to and met.”
