The board of directors of China Construction Bank Corporation (the “Bank” or “China Construction Bank”) received Mr. Sheng Liurong’s resignation letter. Due to age, Mr. Sheng Liurong has requested to resign from his position as the Bank’s Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Sheng Liurong’s resignation will take effect from March 31, 2026.

Mr. Sheng Liurong confirms that there are no differing opinions between him and the board of directors of the Bank, that there are no other matters that need to be notified to the Bank’s shareholders, and that he has completed the handover work in accordance with relevant requirements. Mr. Sheng Liurong would like to sincerely express his gratitude to the board of directors and senior management of the Bank for their support and assistance, and he wishes China Construction Bank’s business a thriving development.

During Mr. Sheng Liurong’s tenure as the Bank’s Chief Financial Officer, he was diligent and dedicated, carried out his duties diligently and responsibly. He made important contributions in areas including: improving the asset-liability management system and the financial accounting management system to ensure sound operations and financial compliance; strengthening strategic research and policy coordination to promote the implementation of the Group’s plans; optimizing the operating and management of subsidiaries to drive the Group’s integrated development; and strengthening information disclosure and maintaining investor relations.

The board of directors of the Bank gives a highly positive assessment of Mr. Sheng Liurong’s important contributions and expresses its sincere thanks.

Sheng Liurong, male, born in November 1965. Senior economist. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in finance from Xiamen University in 1986, completed a master’s degree in monetary banking from Xiamen University in 1990, and obtained a Ph.D. in economics from Xiamen University in 1997.

From October 2003 to July 2014, he served as Deputy President of the Xiamen Branch of China Construction Bank, during which he served as the Head of the preparatory group for the Chile Branch of China Construction Bank from May 2013 to July 2014.

From July 2014 to September 2017, he served as President of the Xiamen Branch of China Construction Bank;

From September 2017 to March 2020, he served as the principal person in charge and General Manager of the Financial Markets Department of China Construction Bank; from August 2018 to October 2023, he concurrently served as a non-executive director of Jianxin Financial Leasing;

From March 2020 to May 2024, he served as General Manager of the Asset-Liability Management Department of China Construction Bank; since September 2023, he has concurrently served as Chairman of Jianxin Fund.

He has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer of China Construction Bank since November 2022, and will retire and step down on March 31, 2026. (Note: His predecessor, CFO, was Zhang Yi, the current Vice Chairman of the board of directors, an Executive Director, President and Chief Compliance Officer of China Construction Bank.)
