Been scrolling through some market chatter lately and noticed something interesting about traditional stocks outperforming all the AI hype. McDonald's, T-Mobile, and Marriott have been quietly crushing it with solid earnings, and honestly they deserve more attention in everyone's discord status ideas about what's actually worth holding right now.
McDonald's caught my eye first - stock hit fresh 52-week highs after beating Q4 expectations. Their loyalty program is growing like crazy, with active users up 19% and systemwide sales to loyalty members jumping 20% year over year. Global comparable sales were up 6%, US up 7%. Dividend yield sitting at 2.3% and they're basically a dividend king at this point, 49 consecutive years of increases. Trades below the S&P 500 multiple too, which is solid value.
T-Mobile's another one people should be talking about in their discord status ideas about telecom plays. Up 9% after Q4 beat, added 2.4 million net customers including broadband, with 962k postpaid phone adds being industry best. They've earned their spot as the disruptor in wireless - no hidden fees, actually listens to customers. Trading at 18X forward P/E, which is reasonable for what they're doing.
Marriott rounds out the trio. Mixed Q4 results but stock rallied 7% anyway. RevPAR up 2% globally, 6% internationally. Management's guiding 2026 RevPAR growth at 1.5-2.5%, pretty solid considering everything going on macro-wise. They've been raising dividends consistently and have room to keep going.
The pattern here is clear - solid fundamentals, reasonable valuations, dividends that actually matter. Not flashy, but these are exactly the kinds of positions that should be in your discord status ideas when people ask what you're actually holding long-term.
