Just caught wind that X Money is moving faster than most people realize. Elon's been pretty quiet about the crypto angle, but the pieces are starting to fall into place and honestly, the market isn't pricing this in yet.

So here's what went down. A couple months back during an xAI presentation, Elon casually mentioned they've already got X Money running internally with employees. The plan is to roll it out to a limited group of external users within the next month or two, then go full public. They've already locked down money transmitter licenses across 40+ US states and partnered with Visa, which tells you this isn't just vaporware.

The real play though? Elon wants to turn X into an everything app - messaging, payments, asset management, shopping, all in one place. Think WeChat but on steroids. The target is hitting 600 million monthly active users, eventually pushing toward a billion. That's massive scale.

Now here's where the crypto speculation gets interesting. Nobody at X has officially said they're integrating crypto into X Money. But the community is already spinning theories. The obvious one is Dogecoin - Elon's been vocal about DOGE being good for micropayments, and let's be honest, the meme coin fits his brand perfectly. Then there's XRP, which some people think could work because Cross River Bank (X's payment partner) has been using Ripple's protocol for cross-border settlements since 2014.

Weird thing though? DOGE and XRP barely moved on this news. Usually you'd see some reaction, but nope. The market's either sleeping on this or everyone's waiting to see if X Money actually delivers.

Once this goes live, we'll probably get more clarity on whether Elon's actually bringing crypto into the fold. If he does, it could be a real game-changer for how people think about digital payments. If not, well, the speculation dies and we move on to the next narrative.
