Wow, this is surprising. I read a poll from BeInCrypto about Lena Sassaman and the theory that he is Satoshi Nakamoto. Turns out, only 17% believe in this version. Almost a quarter are completely against it, and 38% are just waiting for an HBO movie to figure it out.
The most interesting part is the counterarguments. Yes, Lena Sassaman was a cryptographer, worked on privacy, knew Hal Finney. But that’s not proof! In the cyberpunk community of the 90s, there were plenty of such people. Plus, Satoshi always avoided publicity, while Sassaman was charismatic and open. And yes, even Sassaman’s widow has debunked this theory.
But wait — the coincidence of Sassaman’s death in 2011 with Satoshi’s disappearance... could it just be a coincidence? Nakamoto could have left for other reasons, not just because of death. Actually, the crypto community has already shifted to another candidate — Nick Szabo, after the 10x Research report. On Polymarket, pools have nearly reached 15 million.
What do you think, will this ever be revealed?
