Just caught this Gabon news update - their president just reshuffled the cabinet with 31 new members early this year. What got my attention is the gender balance they're pushing: 11 women, 20 men. Not huge, but seems like they're making an effort there. The reshuffle happened after those elections late last year, so basically the new government filling key spots in Interior, Foreign Affairs, and Justice. Pretty standard political stuff but interesting to see how African governments are structuring things. The president doubles as head of government there, which is a different setup than most Western systems. Anyway, keeping an eye on how Gabon's political moves might affect the region.
