The Yukun High-Speed Railway in Yunnan started track laying this morning.

At 11:18 a.m. today, the Yuxin–Kunming High-Speed Railway’s Yunnan segment—an important part of the Jing-Kun corridor—began laying track. The Yuxin–Kunming High-Speed Railway starts at Chongqing West Station, passes through Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou, and Yunnan, and ends at Kunming South Station. It is about 700 kilometers long, including 388.6 kilometers in the Yunnan segment. After the entire line opens for operation, travel time from Chongqing to Kunming will be reduced to about two and a half hours. This is of great significance for promoting connectivity between the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle and the urban cluster of central Yunnan, and for driving economic development in areas along the route.
