Middle East Conflict | Iran claims to have hit the enemy's advanced fighter jet; it has crashed into the Persian Gulf

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said in a statement late Thursday that the Revolutionary Guard used a new air-defense system to hit an advanced U.S. or Israeli fighter jet off the southern side of Qeshm Island, Iran’s largest island. After the aircraft was struck, it crashed into the Persian Gulf.

Iran’s state television aired footage of the attack, saying it shows the moment the fighter jet is hit. According to reports, the fighter jet went down into the water after being struck.

So far, there has been no response from the United States or Israel to the news.
