I just found out that many of the modifications made during auto tuning might not pass the VTV inspection. It turns out that most of the changes you see on those cars with spoilers, lowered suspensions, and powerful exhausts end up being a problem when it's time for inspection.

What I didn't know is that the VTV doesn't reject you for customizing the vehicle, but for failing safety and emissions standards. The issue is that those cut exhaust pipes that produce a loud sound, or the modified suspensions that significantly lower the car, can lead to observations. There's also the matter of lights, brakes, tires, and safety elements inside the cabin that must be in perfect condition.

If something minor fails, you're given 60 days to fix it with conditional circulation, but if it's serious, you're outright prohibited from driving. So if you're planning to do auto tuning in Argentina, it's better to carefully check which modifications are compatible with the technical requirements, because otherwise you'll have to revert the car to its original state to pass the test.
