Unilever announces that its food business will merge with McCormick

On March 31, Unilever said in a post on its official website that Unilever and Mizhumei have reached an agreement to merge Unilever’s food business (excluding India and other divested businesses) with Mizhumei. Unilever and its shareholders will collectively receive shares equivalent to 65.0% of the fully diluted share capital of the combined company. At the time the transaction is completed, Unilever will also receive a cash payment of $15.7 billion.
