On April 2, according to Nikita Bier, the Product Lead on the X platform and a Solana ecosystem advisor, X is rolling out a countermeasure against crypto phishing scams: if an account posts crypto-related content for the first time in its history, the platform will automatically trigger an account lock and require identity verification.

Nikita Bier said this measure is expected to eliminate 99% of malicious intent. He also noted that Google currently has not been able to effectively block the relevant phishing emails, and this issue remains one of the key channels for spreading ongoing scams.
