Hexun Investment Advisor Liu Wenbo: A-shares shrink to a total trading volume of 18.43 trillion, be cautious of a short-term comeback.
It lasted 8 days, and today the blue chips finally got off the bus—what did these 8 days turn into? According to Hexun Investment Advisor Liu Wenbo’s analysis, just the single “dip and rebound” alone meant we went through 2 medium-length bearish candles; adding today, it was 3 in total over 8 days—there wasn’t a single day that was calm.
Just this afternoon at 2:00, this round of consolidation didn’t hold up. We cut 8 of the 10 units we had, leaving only the final 2 units. As for the market’s trend, there’s no need to say more: yesterday, how many stocks were going up, today how many were going down. And what’s even more deadly is that the leaders falling hardest are precisely the sectors everyone has been obsessing over—the technology direction. The key names have been continuing to weaken, and that’s one of the main reasons the market sentiment collapsed today.
But friends, you can also see that on the public screen we wrote two “two-times-to-buy” back-and-forth points, respectively on last year’s December 17 and last year’s June 24. Why are these two buy points called “two-times-to-buy”? Because every time a breakdown occurs, after it thoroughly washes out people’s conviction and all their chips, the very next day a seemingly unknown and insignificant breakout-buy point quietly appears. And such a buy point is something that the people who just sold wouldn’t be able to see themselves buying—just sold and then buy again; what kind of face would that be? But it was precisely these two buy points that gave birth to our two biggest swing-trading rallies since the second half of last year. And the most recent one is on December 17. The market even put together a jaw-dropping 17-session streak of advancing candles, driving it directly from 3800 all the way to 4200. So that’s also why I wrote it here. The “two-times-to-buy” buy point is just that crafty—we have to be on guard to prevent a tomorrow-type, anti-humanity move like that.
