I think many people are confused when choosing formula milk. Of course, the essential nutrients for a baby's growth are important, but there are really many considerations, such as ease of preparation and portability. Since various brands like Morinaga Milk Industry, Meiji, Snow Brand Megmilk, and Asahi Group Foods offer different products, it can be quite difficult to decide which one is best.
Recently, I actually tried and compared the top 8 popular powdered formulas ranked highly in the charts, and surprisingly, there are differences. When looking at ease of dissolving, scoopability, and convenience when going out, there are quite noticeable differences. I believe that the best formula is one that is easy to prepare and that the baby drinks eagerly, but surprisingly, options like that are limited.
It's understandable that Morinaga Milk Industry's "E-Akachan" ranks first. The powder is easy to scoop, and after mixing 10 times, it dissolves completely without residue. They also have stick-type versions, which are convenient when on the go. Being able to quickly prepare it even on busy mornings is a big help. The second-place "Hagukumi" is also from Morinaga Milk Industry, but it excels even more in scoopability. They also offer liquid types, providing more choices.
Products like "Pure" or "Hohoemi" are not bad, but the choice depends on what points you prioritize when selecting formula. If you want quick preparation, the top-ranked products are recommended. If you often feed your baby outside, it’s better to look for options like cubes or liquid types. For those who prefer organic options, Bubs Australia products are available, but considering usability, the higher-ranked products are probably more practical.
There’s a reason why the top products in the ranking are ranked that way. For the baby's sake and to reduce parental burden, how easy it is to prepare the formula is quite an important point. I think finding the perfect formula that matches your lifestyle is the best choice.
